I have always had a fascination for Reflexology and as my children were soon to start school I decided to train as a Reflexologist. I studied with the International Institute of Reflexology in London. The Institute was established by Eunice Ignham, the founder of Reflexology in the USA. Her nephew Dwight Byers is still President to this day. That was back in 2007 and I've been in practise and a member of the Association of Reflexologists, ever since.
As I am always keen to extend my knowledge, skills and experience, I have also studied and attended courses on the following subjects:
ART- Anthony Porter (Advanced Reflexology Techniques)
VRT - Vertical Reflex Therapy - By Lynne Booth - By incorporating weightbearing reflexology, deeper reflex points are accessed so that the treatment is quicker and more effective.
Meridian and Accu-flex therpy - Lilian Tibshraeny-Moreten (The bringing together of Eastern and Western medicine. A balancing treatment for the whole body through Accu points on the hands and feet.)
I combine all this knowledge and expertise to tailor-make a treatment plan for each individual. This means the best results are seen in every client. I hope to treat you soon!
I qualified as a practitioner with the International Institute of Reflexology in 2007. I hold a Certificate of Competency in Maternity Reflexology, am a VRT (Vertical Reflexology) practitioner. In 2011 I qualified as a Sorensensistem Facial Reflexologist adding this whole new field of Reflexology to my treatment offer.
Nerve Reflexology followed in 2013. This was a very in depth course with a requirement to study and know the Nervous System and how it works, especially its involvement in pain and dysfunctions in the body. I have also attended a fascinating post graduate course to help the suffers of Migraines and other headaches and chronic pain states. I thoroughly enjoy this side of Reflexology and get great sense of satisfaction helping my clients much more by including Nerve Reflexology points in their sessions. Each treatment being tailored to their individual needs.
In 2015 I qualified as a Reproductive Reflexologist. I found I was getting many clients that were struggling to conceive and I wanted to be able to help them and their partners with Reflexology. This Association, Association of Reproductive Reflexologists, gives full training and uses successful protocols to help either enhance couples natural fertility or with conventional treatments such as Clomid, IUI, IVF, ICSI as well as donor eggs.
In June 21 I qualified as an Association of Reflexologists Advanced Practioner in Advanced Reproflexology. Credit rated by Edinburgh Napier University. To read the dissertation I produced as part of the course please see Hypothyroid and its effects on Fertility
